Who am I?
Since my childhood, crafts and sciences have always drawn me, it is in the meeting of these two worlds that I see my job of mechanical engineering and design.
This explains my interest in projects and their management. To take the seed of a project and reap its fruit is a rewarding and different experience every time. The illustration of this committment is made both personally that through education or voluntary.
During my graduate studies, I discovered the handling of forms around the function, but also the material composition correlated. This relationship is the most intimate with composites, and that caught my attention. Product design in composite materials is also one of the few areas where auditing practice is still needed and this suits my handyman inclination.

Technical and associative
I designed and manufactured a carbon fiber longboard which was featured on several industrial design websites such as
Yanko Design and
Core77.
I was team manager and in charge of the design and manufacture of composite and polymer parts of a prototype car for the
Shell Eco-Marathon Europe. The Eco-Marathon is an annual competition sponsored by Shell, in which participants build special vehicles to achieve the highest possible fuel efficiency. This vehicle has a full carbon fibre body with aramid (Nomex) honey-comb. We managed to design and build a brand new car in two years. We were 27th out of 172 teams at the Shell Eco-marathon Europe 09 with 1082km per litre of gas and we beat the university record for the second year in a row (549 km/L in 2008). We also ranked 10 out of 48 in Rockingham (England) at the Shell Eco Marathon Youth Challenge.
Sportive and associative
I am founder and secretary of a
downhill sports association and webmaster of its website. We managed to organise 3 “freerides” every year at Le Bourget du Lac until 2009. A “freeride” involves closing a road with the agreement of the authorities, in order to provide a safe and controlled area for the practice of downhill road sports.
During this activity, I am able to practise another hobby which is
filming and video editing.
Sports
I practice other sports such as rugby, snowboard and surf.
Involvement
During my two year diploma in material science, I was student delegate at the administration council to gain experience of dealing with this kind of body. The experience was very beneficial because it involved bargaining with the administration.
